Getting Around - Free Shuttles

Because various Las Vegas hotels know that the average visitor doesn’t rent a car and doesn’t want to pay for a cab, there are several free shuttles available to make getting around easier.

Free Shuttles:
Between Harrahs and the Rio. Approximately every 30 minutes.
Between Sams Town and Bill’s Gamblin’ HallHarrahsRiviera, and Tropicana. Approximately every hour and a half.
Between Caesars Palace and the Rio.  Approximately every 30 minutes.
Between Paris/Ballys and the Rio. Approximately every 30 minutes.
Between the Hard Rock and the Fashion Show Mall. Leaves the Hard Rock every 60 minutes on the hour.

Click on –> http://vegasreservations.com/lasvegasmap for a printable Las Vegas area map. It is best to “Google” any of the above free shuttles you might be interested in to get more details including the hours of operation which are subject to change.

My #1 Recommendation For Everyone Going To Vegas

As mentioned yesterday, the majority of the millions who go to Las Vegas Nevada each year stay on the Las Vegas “Strip” (Click on –> http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap for a printable map of the Las Vegas Strip). The Las Vegas Strip is officially defined to be an approximately 4.2 mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard between Mandalay Bay and the Sahara Hotel and Casino. Although there are many ways to get around the “Strip” including taxis, buses, trams, trolley and a monorail, the most common means by far for getting around the Strip is walking. So what is my #1 recommendation for everyone going to Las Vegas? It may seem simple but everyone should take (and wear) a good pair of walking shoes. In a city where a simple walk across the street or to a casino down the street can be a mile or more, a good pair of walking shoes should be an obvious addition to everyone’s wardrobe. More on getting around tomorrow.

My #1 Favorite Free Vegas Show/Attraction

Continuing with the subject of free Vegas shows/attractions, today’s post is about my #1 most favorite free Vegas show/attraction the “Fremont Experience” in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street. The Fremont Experience is a visual and music show that uses more than 12.5 million synchronized LED modules and a 550,000 watt concert quality sound system and takes place on a four block long (approx. 1500 feet long) canopy that is 90 feet high at the center. Check a couple of my YouTube videos at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se5487EXk8w and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eQ-aJW6h4w at see why it’s worth spending at least one evening in downtown Las Vegas on your next trip. You can get more information at  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremont_Street_Experience or the official website at  http://www.vegasexperience.com/#/viva/ (which includes show times (that change during the year)) or you can “Google” it. If you don’t know where Fremont Street is, check out the printable Las Vegas area map at  http://vegasreservations.com/lasvegasmap.

My 2nd Favorite Free Vegas Show/Attraction

Continuing on yesterday’s theme of free Vegas shows/attractions, today’s post is about my 2nd most favorite free Vegas show/attraction the “Fountains of Bellagio” in front of the 5 star rated Bellagio. Although it’s my 2nd most favorite, the “Fountains of Bellagio” is many people’s #1 favorite free Vegas show/attraction and it shouldn’t be missed. I’ve seen grown women cry while watching and listenisng to it and it’s quite difficult to describe so you might want to check a couple of YouTube videos:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B44-z555ZKc and  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lItZhzWOBtQ. If you want more information including show times, the “Fountains of Bellagio” website address is  http://www.bellagio.com/amenities/fountains-of-bellagio.aspx or you can “Google“ it. If your not sure where the Bellagio is, it’s on the Las Vegas “Strip” (Check out the printable Las Vegas Strip map at http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap).

My 3rd Favorite Free Vegas Show/Attraction

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a lot of fun in Las Vegas. Although Las Vegas is sometimes laughingly called Lost Wages, I thought it would be a good idea to start a short series of posts about some of the free Vegas shows/attractions that are available that can make your Vegas vacation a little more fun and a little less expensive.Today’s post is about my 3rd most favorite free Vegas show/attraction. It’s the “Show in the Sky” showing hourly from 7 pm to midnight Thursday thru Sunday (subject to change) at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. The show is hard to describe so you might want to check a couple of YouTube videos:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TgHJ26MQdU and  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy6-qO34iu0. Although free to watch, you can ride on a float for $12.95 per person (subject to change). If you want more information, the “Show in the Sky” website address is   http://www.riolasvegas.com/casinos/rio/casino-misc/masquerade-show-in-the-sky-detail.html or you can “Google” it. If your not sure where the Rio is, it’s west of the “Strip” on Flamingo Rd. (Check out the printable Las Vegas Strip map at http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap).

Welcome to my new blog about Las Vegas Nevada

As webmaster@vegasreservations.com, I thought it would be fun to write about some of my favorite things about Las Vegas Nevada. Although the subject matter will be very wide, I plan to deal with what I consider the positive side of Vegas and not the seedier more questionable side. Please post your questions, requests concerning subjects you’d like covered in this blog, comments or what you like or dislike about Las Vegas. I reserve the right to remove postings and not answer questions I don’t think are appropriate. Enjoy!
