This weekend (Oct. 7, 8 and 9), the annual Children’s Charity Motorcycle Rally and Classic Car show called “DESERT THUNDER” will run at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino. This annual event, which ran in Primm for 14 years, has moved to the Palace Station this year. “DESERT THUNDER” is a non-profit 501c3 corporation whose mission is to raise funds and in turn donates that money to selected service organizations that provide children with health care, social and educational opportunities that they may not otherwise receive. It is unique among fund raising organizations because of it’s commitment from the beginning to give ALL MONEY raised (less actual costs) directly to selected children’s services including “The Loma Linda Childrens Hospital Foundation and the “Greater Las Vegas After-School All-Stars”.
