Want to help improve the Robert Gordon Senior Recreation Center (336 N. 10th Street, Las Vegas, NV) which is used daily by low-income seniors? If so, then you should take part in "Downtown Cares Las Vegas”, a day of downtown volunteerism, tomorrow (Nov. 5, 2011) from 10 am to 4 pm. "Downtown Cares Las Vegas” is being sponsored by the El Cortez Hotel & Casino, Zappos, the City of Las Vegas, the City of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, the City of Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Whole Foods, 8 News Now, BLVDS and other businesses and arts organizations. Event registration is from 9 to 10 am tomorrow followed by the day of volunteering at the recreation center. Volunteers can offer their services for a full- or half-day shift.
