As if it wasn’t already one of the best hotels in Las Vegas if not the world, the six month long, $70 million overhaul of the five star rated [1] Bellagio’s rooms and suites were recently completed. The $70 million renovation started last June and 2,568 rooms in the hotel’s main tower have been updated. The rooms were designed by the MGM Resorts International Design Group and they feature three different color palates — indigo and silver, plum and tea green, and butterscotch and amber. The guest rooms in the Bellagio’s main tower had not been renovated since 2004. The spa tower and the hotel’s suites, which were renovated in 2007, were not part of the upgrade. The rooms are listed as deluxe resort rooms and apparently are $20 to $30 more than rooms that were not part of the renovation. Rates for a stay during January in the new rooms are reported to start at $219 although lower rates may be available.
