House of Blues Changes
Friday August 12, 2011 by admin.
All House of Blues venues nationwide have recently undergone a makeover and name change and the Las Vegas venue, located inside Mandalay Bay, is no exception. Now called Crossroads at House of Blues, the menu has been changed to incorporate "contemporary interpretations of classic comfort food," with dishes including shrimp and grits, meatball sliders, hand stretched grilled flatbreads, chile braised short ribs, and street tacos, while retaining old favorites like jambalaya. It’s open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For more information including a list of upcoming events click on –> http://www.houseofblues.com/venues/clubvenues/lasvegas/ or for dining information including links to menus, go to http://www.houseofblues.com/venues/clubvenues/lasvegas/dining.php .

All you’ve got to do is “Like” their Facebook page (which is at http://www.facebook.com/pfchangs), print the coupon and bring it to any of their location for a free order of the chain’s signature appetizer, which wraps wok-seared chicken or tofu, mushrooms, green onions, water chestnuts and rice sticks in fresh lettuce leaves. Burgers in Vegas
Tuesday June 14, 2011 by admin.
Since most people like to eat a hamburger at least once in a while, I hope the following is of interest to someone other than myself. I recently came across an article called “Where to find the best burgers in Las Vegas” by E.C. Gladstone of the Las Vegas Sun that I would like to share. The biggest surprise in the article was the fact that you can get a $5,000 (yes, that’s five thousand dollars) burger in Las Vegas at Fleur Inside Mandalay Bay. Of course, the regular fast food chains are available including Five Guys, Burger King’s “Whopper Bar at the RIO” and even McDonald’s has a unique restaurant called “Viva McDonalds”. Because there are far to many places to get a good to great hamburgers, click on –> http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/jun/03/where-find-best-burgers-las-vegas/ to read the article and get more information plus numerous suggestions of where to get a great burger in the Las Vegas area. Enjoy!

Happy Cinco De Mayo. Being someone who really likes Mexican food, I thought I would do a posting about 3 of best Mexican restaurants that I know of in Las Vegas. The three are (click on restaurant name for more info):
Garduno’s (locations at Fiesta Rancho and the Palms Casino Resort) which is part of a chain started in Albuquerque, New Mexico that specializes on the on the taste of blue agave and green carne adovada.
Dos Caminos (inside the Palazzo Las Vegas) which is the fourth outpost of the Mexican cuisine mecca and the first outside of New York City.
Isla Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar (inside TI - Treasure Island) which has a modern Mexican menu created by Chef Richard Sandoval and has a bar which features more than 100 varieties of Tequila.
