New Year’s Eve Fireworks

One of the great reasons to visit Las Vegas for New Years is the Las Vegas New Year’s Eve Fireworks. Unlike anywhere else that I know of, Las Vegas has an awesome fireworks display that you are sure to remember. They shoot off fireworks from the roof tops of several different “Strip” hotel casinos with a major part of the Las Vegas Strip closed off and over 200,000 people on or around the Strip. This year fireworks will be shot off the roofs of the Tropicana, MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian, and Stratosphere. Whether you’ve been to Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve in the recent past or not, you might want to check out the following YouTube video that deals mostly last year’s fireworks.

I think that the Las Vegas New Year’s Eve Fireworks is something you should see at least once in your life. If you have plans to go or didn’t have plans to go this year but changed your mind and would like to go and you don’t have a room and/or flight reserved, you can use either the “Click for up to $525 off Air + Hotel Packages” or “Click for up to 70% off Hotel Reservations” underlined links below to get reservations. You should know that because hotel occupancy is so high for New Years that some hotels are not available or require more than a 1 or 2 or 3 night stay and prices are usually high (some are very high) but then again so is the amount of fun you’ll probably have. Enjoy!

  • Free Family Movies on Thursdays

Although some people say Las Vegas is more family friendly when it was 20 years ago, many say it’s less family friendly then it was 10 years ago. If your traveling with kids and/or like kid’s movies yourself, don’t miss the family friendly movies in the Square in Town Square Park (which is southwest of McCarran International Airport on 6605 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV 89119). Movies in the Square takes place every Thursday through August 25, 2011. Admission is free and seating is on a first come first serve basis. Show times begin at sundown, but make sure to come early for live entertainment and activities for kids. All events are weather permitting and the schedule is subject to change.
