Winning Percentages for Slots (4/11)
Friday September 9, 2011 by admin.
Two postings in a row about slots does not mean I am planning to turn this blog into a a gambling blog. From time to time I come across this kind of information and I thought it might be interesting and maybe even valuable to some of the readers of this blog. Keep in mind that although individual casinos are not listed, the testing of slot machines of different denominations in different areas in and around Las Vegas can give a indication of what denomination of machine and in what area someone could find a higher potential of winning. Last April’s info is the newest I found.
Winning Percentages by slot machine denomination from the Nevada Gaming Control Board for APRIL, 2011
North Las Vegas: Includes such casinos as the Fiesta, Texas Station, Jerry’s Nugget and the Santa Fe.
Boulder Strip: Principal casinos in this area are Boulder Station, and Sam’s Town
Balance of County: These casinos are not on the Las Vegas or Boulder Strip or in Downtown and they include the properties in Primm, and those other casinos scattered across the valley, such as Arizona Charlie’s and the Orleans.

Get Up To $200 In Slot Losses In Free Play
Thursday September 8, 2011 by admin.
I am not trying to encourage anyone to play slot machines but if you do or want to try you might want to consider the following. The Tropicana Las Vegas Resort and Casino has one of the hottest players club programs on the Strip right now with its Trop Plus Players Club. The Tropicana has seen a surge in new signups since implementing the program, and has placed Trop Plus kiosks on the gaming floor to allow members to view their point balances, redeem offers, and enter drawings for cash and prizes. New members can take advantage of the innovative “Even the Odds” promotion, which reimburses players up to $200 of their losses on casino slots with the equivalent in free play, half of which is available immediately and the other half after 30 days (valid for one year). You can sign up at www.troplv.com (click on “Casino” then “Trop Plus Players Club”). Also, you’ll be entitled to an array of benefits and discounts based on your play, including free slot play, free hotel room upgrades, VIP invitations to special events, and complimentary hotel stays.

Cosmopolitan: $100 Play for $100 Loss
Thursday June 2, 2011 by admin.
Here’s an interesting promotion you might want to take advantage of. Through June 15th, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will give each gambler in it’s casino $100 "in Identity play" if they lose $100 in one day. All anyone has to do is to bring their Identity card to the identity membership desk and they reimburse you $100 in Identity play. Identity is the name of the player’s card program at The Cosmopolitan which you can sign up for at the membership desk. Sounds like a great way to stretch your gambling budget.

Players Club Cards
Friday April 8, 2011 by admin.
Why should you use a players club card? That’s really simple to answer. If your going to gamble whether it’s slot machines or table games while your in Las Vegas (or anyplace else for that matter) then why not get something extra out of it. Players club cards, which are sometimes called slot club cards are how casinos track how much money you bet and how often you play, are your ticket to “comps” (free and discounted stuff including rooms, shows and meals). The more you play the more points you get towards your comps. High rollers, in fact, can get free top notch accommodations like penthouses with possibly additional services like a personal assistant and even a dedicated limo. Since the use of players club cards have no effect on how much you win or lose, there’s no reason you should not sign up for and use players club cards at each casino or group of casinos you gamble in. Even a low roller infrequent video poker player like myself get great deals like the ones seen by clicking here. $49 a night (Sun. – Thur.) or $89 a night Fri. & Sat.) at the 4 star rated Palms Casino Resort with Complimentary Access to Palms Spa & Fitness Center, $10 in Free Slot Play or Promotional Gaming Chips and $20 in Resort Credits plus VIP Nightlife Pass to Ghostbar, Moon, Rain & Playboy Club is nothing to squeeze at. Go for it!

The Best Slot Clubs in Las Vegas
Tuesday February 15, 2011 by admin.
Because most people who visit Las Vegas do at least some gambling and slot (players) clubs are the key to tracking most visitor’s gambling and therefore receiving comps (free gifts or free (or reduced rates on) rooms, food, etc.), I thought it would be a good idea to post the information listed below. According to a fairly recent survey of the readers of “Strictly Slots”, the best slot clubs in Las Vegas are:
On the Las Vegas Strip: #1 Harrah’s Las Vegas #2 MGM Grand #3 Caesars Palace
In downtown Las Vegas: #1 Fitzgeralds #2 Fremont #3 Main Street Casino
For Las Vegas locals: #1 M Resort #2 Sam’s Town #3 Station Casinos
The above information is not meant to encourage gambling or to indicate that the casinos listed above are the best places to gamble for any particular type of gaming but I do hope this information is useful. Keep in mind that it’s free to join every Players Club that I am aware of and there’s no reason to not get credit for the gambling you do, if any.

Finding The Best Video Poker Machines
Tuesday January 25, 2011 by admin.
Although it lacks the bluffing and potential huge winnings often associated with live poker, video poker does require skill if you want to play successfully long term plus it can yield greater than 100% payouts if you know how and where to play. This posting cannot begin to cover the many ins and outs of video poker but it can tell you how to find the best video poker machines in Las Vegas (and many other places). To begin playing video poker successfully, you must know that video poker games vary greatly in their payouts and that players should play video poker games on machines with the highest payouts such as 100.76% return (with perfect pay) Full Pay Deuces Wild (FPDW). You can click on –> http://www.vpfree2.com/casinos/by-region/las-vegas.html to find the best video poker machines in Las Vegas (or if you click on other regions, elsewhere). At the page you get to using the above link, you will find a list of Las Vegas hotels and/or casinos with the the best video poker games at various denominations that each casino has. You can click on a casino’s name for more details and if you click on “Listings” for any game shown you will find the approximate location of the machines within the casino for the game listed. If your interested, take some time at the vp2free2.com website to find out what it has to offer. Also, if your seriously interested in playing video poker, I suggest that you should thoroughly research it, choose one or two games to learn and practice it (or them) at sites like http://www.freeslots.com/poker.htm or by using software like “Video Poker for Winners” as much as possible. Books like “Video Poker for the Intelligent Beginner (Gambling Theories Methods)” by Bob Dancer can also be of value to anyone wanting to learn about video poker. Choosing, practicing and playing the best video games on the best machines can actually make you money. Keep in mind, however, that playing video poker games with high returns at or near perfection doesn’t guarantee that you will come out ahead each time you play. It does mean you should have a chance to at least break even over the long haul and hopefully have some fun. Here’s hoping that you hit a Royal Flush if you decide to play.

New Sports Book at the Hard Rock
Wednesday December 1, 2010 by admin.
Although there are numerous worthwhile places to do sports betting in Las Vegas, the following should be of interest to anyone into race and sports betting. The Hard Rock opened a new Race & Sports Book which is operated by Cantor Gaming on November 1, 2010. It is complete with Cantor’s exclusive In-Running technology that allows customers to place bets on a wide variety of outcomes throughout sporting and other live events.
In addition to operating the Race & Sports Book, Cantor Gaming will install its eDeck™ mobile gaming system at the Hard Rock before the end of 2010, pending regulatory approval. Once live, guests will be able to use eDeck to bet on sports, as well as to play innovative, proprietary casino games, developed exclusively by Cantor, such as XtraOdds Baccarat and XtraOdds Blackjack, throughout approved public areas of the Hard Rock including select bars, restaurants and the pool. Get more info at http://www.cantorgaming.com/docs/HRFINALPRESSRELEASE.pdf. It sounds like interesting technology and I hope it passes regulatory approval. I also hope that this technology or something very similiar becomes common place.
You can go to http://vegasreservations.com/lasvegasmap for a printable Las Vegas area map to find the location of the Hard Rock or use “Google” or “Bing” to do more research about the above subject or anything else your interested in.
