New Swimming Pool Party
Friday June 3, 2011 by admin.
The pool at Palms Place will be launching a new Sunday pool party starting this Sunday (June 5, 2011) called "The Sunday Scene". It will run all summer, from noon to 5 pm on Sundays. It will feature DJ Scene and will have menu items from the Simon Sunday Brunch. Cover starts at $40 with ladies and anyone who orders the brunch admitted free. You must be at least 21 to attend. The Palms is a great place to party so I assume that this will be worthwhile to anyone who is interested. The official website (http://www.palms.com/events/sunday-scene/) doesn’t have much info on it yet but you can call 702-942-6832 or email tables@9groupvegas.com for to reserve a cabana. Enjoy!

4 Pools Set Their Opening Date.
Friday March 4, 2011 by admin.
Spring must be coming because four Las Vegas Strip hotels are the first to announce their opening dates for this summer’s season. They are:
- Wet Republic at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino which is set to open March 11th
- Bare at the Mirage Hotel and Casino which is set to open on March 14th
- Liquid at the Aria Resort and Casino which is set to open March 17th
- Encore Beach Club at Encore Las Vegas which is set to open April 16th
The first three are good news for those visiting Vegas 2 weeks or so from now because Las Vegas pools often don’t open until the end of March or early April.

The Best Pools in Las Vegas
Friday September 10, 2010 by admin.
Although the main pool season is over, most Las Vegas pools are usually open until around the end of October so I thought that I would add to the 4 postings I made in late June about Las Vegas pools. According to the readers of Casino Player, the best pools at Las Vegas hotels are: On the Las Vegas Strip: #1 Caesars Palace, #2 Mandalay Bay and #3 Flamingo In downtown Las Vegas: #1 Golden Nugget For Las Vegas locals: #1 M Resort #2 Hard Rock and # 3 Red Rock
Although there are many other good to great pools in Las Vegas, it’s difficult for me to disagree with the above ratings. I hope someone will find this information useful when choosing where to stay the next time your in Las Vegas.
Go to http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap for a printable map of the Las Vegas Strip, or http://vegasreservations.com/fremontmap for a printable (downtown Las Vegas) Fremont Street map or http://vegasreservations.com/lasvegasmap for a printable Las Vegas area map. You can use “Google” or “Bing” to do more research about the above subject or anything else your interested in.

Pool Parties at Las Vegas Strip Hotel Pools
Tuesday June 29, 2010 by admin.
To further celebrate summer in Las Vegas, I thought it would be a good idea to do another posting on pools. This posting focuses on pool parties. There are currently twelve pools at 10 different Las Vegas Strip hotels (http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap) that have pool parties. The “Strip” hotel pools that have pool parties are:
8 at the Stratosphere
Azure Pool Club at the Palazzo
Bare Pool at the Mirage
Encore Beach Club at the Encore
European/XS Pool at the Encore
GO Pool at the Flamingo
Lagoon Pool at the Flamingo
Oasis Pool at the Luxor
Pleasure Pool at Planet Hollywood
Riviera Pool at the Riviera
Tao Beach at the Venetian
Venus Pool at Caesars Palace
Because pool parties vary greatly, be sure to go to the official hotel website or use “Google”, “Bing” or other search engine to get pool party times as well as other information.

The Best Pool in Las Vegas
Saturday June 26, 2010 by admin.
From late March through September when most pools are open, especially on the Las Vegas Strip (http://vegasreservations.com/stripmap) in hot weather, spending time at any one of the many great hotel pools is a great way to spend your days (soaking up the sun and having fun). But what pool is best? Based on personal experience and time spent searching Google for “top vegas pools”, the answer is pretty much unanimous:
The #1 Las Vegas pool complex is at Mandalay Bay. The pools at Mandalay Bay are a 11-acre playground offering a wave pool, lazy river, four swimming pools, jogging track, and 2,700 tons of real sand. During the summer months it’s also home to beach concerts, which feature bands performing on a stage that extends out into the wave pool. You can choose to watch from the water, or bring a blanket and sit on the sandy beach.
Directly on Mandalay Bay Beach and steps away from the waves, guest may enjoy the three-story, climate-controlled, glass-fronted Beachside Casino. On the first level of the club, beach-goers may dine at the open-air Beach Bar & Grill. The second floor features blackjack, roulette and craps. The third level contains five Sun Villas with views of the entire Mandalay Bay Beach. Ranging in size from 250 to 500 square feet, each villa accommodates up to 16 guests with cabana service and access to a private, third-level pool.
Beach concerts take place April through September on the Mandalay Bay Beach Stage, which rises over the sand and surf wave pool. Concert-goers are invited to bring their blankets, sit on the Beach, or wade in the surf and listen to the music from the cool confines of the 1.6 million gallon wave pool.
Other highly rated pools on the Strip include those at the Flamingo, Tropicana, Mirage, MGM Grand and Caesars Palace.
Why not enjoy a Las Vegas pool this summer?
