Forum Shops At Caesars 20th Anniversary

The Forum Shops at Caesars which is the most successful shopping venue in the United States, is Las Vegas’ premier retail, dining and entertainment destination, featuring more than 160 boutiques and shops as well as 13 restaurants and specialty food shops. It is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, while the Las Vegas News Bureau celebrates its 65th anniversary. To mark these occasions, the two have joined forces to present a photo-history of the Forum Shops, presented in three phases near the Fountain of the Gods; close to the Atlantis show and Aquarium; and on the second level, near the windows across from the spiral escalator. The three phases of the exhibit showcase the different eras and changes that have taken place since the high-end mall debuted in 1992. I recommend that everyone who visits Las Vegas check the Forum Shops out at least once.

The Forum Shops

To highlight what many consider to be the best shopping and restaurant mall attached to a Las Vegas casino, I thought I should do a posting on the The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. The Forum Shops which features more than 160 boutiques and shops as well as 13 restaurants and specialty food shops held on to it’s position as the most successful shopping venue in the country by constantly growing and changing. The most recent expansion added 175,000 square feet and additional levels that extend the mall out to Las Vegas Strip. The Forum Shops Also has it’s own fountain show called the “Fall of Atlantis” which you can see below.

Fashion Show Mall

Although Las Vegas may be better know for it’s gambling, pools, shows and nightclubs, shopping is another great reason to visit. The Fashion Show Mall is the best know and most visited shopping mall on the Las Vegas Strip that is not attached to a hotel casino. It has been voted the “Best Mall” for the past five years by the readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. With over 250 shops and restaurants including Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard’s, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and Nevada’s only Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s Home and Forever 21, it’s easy to see why it’s been voted the best mall. Fashion Show Mall is centrally located on the Las Vegas Strip just north of TI - Treasure Island and across from Wynn Las Vegas and it’s easy to get to by car, bus or walking (if your staying close by). It is normally open Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 9:00pm and on Sunday from 11:00am to 7:00pm. CityCenter Las Vegas

With my recent postings about CityCenter related things, I thought it might be a good idea to give more details about this massive multi-use complex. CityCenter Las Vegas, which was essentially completed with the opening of the Cosmopolitan last Wednesday (see last Friday’s posting), is a 16,797,000 square foot set of buildings which occupies a 76 acre site on the Las Vegas Strip formerly used by the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino, the employee parking lot for the Bellagio and several standalone commercial structures. CityCenter has a tram running through it which goes between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo and it houses two resort hotel casinos (Cosmopolitan and Aria) and two non-gaming resorts (Vdara and Mandarin Oriental). All of these beautiful highly rated resorts have restaurants and/or bars and/or shopping associated with them and are all worth checking out individually. In addition to the restaurants at the four above mentioned resorts, another area which is the major retail & entertainment center of CityCenter called Crystals at CityCenter has dining at Wolfgang Puck, Eva Longoria Parkers BESO VEGAS, Mastro’s Ocean Club and Todd English. Shopping is also available at “Crystals” with stores including Louis Vuitton, FIFFANY & CO. Bulgari, and H. Stern among others. CityCenter is also home to Cirque du Soleil’s newest show Viva ELVIS. This posting can’t hardly begin to do justice to this massive urban complex so I strongly suggest that you do a internet search on your own if your interested or better yet set aside at least a few hours and go check it out yourself the next time your in Las Vegas. Happy Holidays!
